Read Judith Kitchen’s Da Capo al Coda, featuring a review of Watershed

The late Judith Kitchen–novelist, poet, essayist, critic, teacher and advisory and contributing editor of the Georgia Review–lost her battle with cancer in the fall of 2014.  In one of her last pieces of writing for Georgia Review, she undertook the daunting task of reviewing not one but five new books of contemporary poetry. Among those covered was Watershed, the winning manuscript of the 2013 Cider Press Review Editors’ Prize, and the first book by poet Laura Donnelly.

Judith Kitchen died on 6 November 2014 shortly after completing work on this essay-review.  We are proud to be able to share the review with you.  Click here to read the pdf of Da Capo al Coda, originally published in The Georgia Review, Winter 2014.
