Our house
underwater
has risen
like a submarine
composed of
a thousand particles
of broken crockery
and driftwood furniture
and scoured porcelain
to where it beaches
item by item
year by year
so when I walk
beside the sea
I discover it
piece by piece
in pockets stones
and lusterware.
