Airframe Stiffness Concern
by Brian Builta

I’m riveted on you daily,
awkwardly huddled in my
shoes and socks, one with
a big toe hole.

The problem with youth is
the high amplitude pitch rate
can cause the rotor actuators
to overheat. Basic throb
moderation must be employed.

But of course, we are not built
that way. Hunched on the highway
we scamper roadside at the first
sign of headlights.

Should the static system
fail, revert to inertial
heading velocity. Should
you smite in my direction

I’ll kiss you sevenfold
and drive the rotor actuators
to higher levels to zero out
the error. You’ll see,

the plastic lines mounted
in the tail section will hum
a sweet frequency until
you agree to be seen with me.
