In Munich
late summer flowers
are very orderly.
Hikers ascend
the hill from the banks
of the blue Ammersee
in the fresh air
to Kloster Andechs.
They drink the monks’
beer, the Helles
aggressively yellow
in clear glasses.
Who can possibly
remember history?
Late summer is late
summer,
and that is all.
