It occurs to me from I don’t know where
that wisdom is recognizing greatness
when you see it, simple as that.
It appears and you can’t help yourself,
you stare in awe,
standing speechless beneath the gleaming,
all-knowing moon, as one among
your fellow human creatures feeling
the great limitless human potential hanging
in the pregnant space all around
like in the beginning
when the universe exploded, spinning
and harmonized with all color and no color
at the same time,
when death
with its cold stare stalked searching
everywhere for something to do
and for someone to do it with.
