Elizabeth Garcia wins the
2023 Cider Press Review Editors’ Prize
with Resurrected Body

The editors of Cider Press Review are delighted to announce a winner in our very close contest for the 2023 Editors’ Prize Book Award.

Elizabeth Garcia of Acworth, Georgia has won the 2023 Cider Press Review Editors’ Prize Book Award for her manuscript, Resurrected Body. Runner-up was Almost Tender, by Abbie Kiefer and Honorable Mention goes to Reckless Shelter, by Karen Holmberg.

Elizabeth Garcia’s most recent work has appeared in Tar River PoetryPortland ReviewCALYX, Tinderbox Poetry, and Anti-Heroin Chic, is the recipient of the 2022 Banyan Poetry Prize, and has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. She is the author of Stunt Double and serves as the current Poetry Editor for Dialogue: a Journal of Mormon Thought.

Garcia will receive a standard publishing contract, 25 author copies of the book, and a $1000 honorarium. Resurrected Body is scheduled to be published in August, 2024.
