Robin Chapman is author of seven books of poetry, including Abundance, winner of the Cider Press Review Editors’ Book Award, The Dreamer Who Counted the Dead, winner of a Wisconsin Library Association Award, Images of a Complex World: The Art and Poetry of Chaos, winner of a Posner Poetry Award, and, most recently The Eelgrass Meadow (Tebot Bach). She co-edited the anthologies On Retirement: 75 Poems (University of Iowa Press) and Love Over 60: an anthology of women’s poems (Mayapple Press).

Her poems have appeared in The American Scholar, The Hudson Review, Poetry, OnEarth, and Wilderness, among many other journals; in many anthologies; and beside the giraffe and the African cichlids at the Milwaukee Zoo, on a mural at Everglades High School, and as libretto for compositions by Canadian and American composers. She has collaborated with painters, textile artists, photographers, and scientists in producing work, and posts her watercolors, with other poets’ published poems, on Robin Chapman’s Poem a Day Blog. In 2010 she received the Helen Howe Poetry Prize from Appalachia.
