About the Author

Susan Laughter Meyers is the author of Keep and Give Away (University of South Carolina Press), winner of the SC Poetry Book Prize. Her chapbook Lessons in Leaving received the Persephone Press Book Award. Her poems have also appeared in The Southern Review, Prairie Schooner, Crazyhorse, and numerous other publications. She has been awarded poetry fellowships by the SC Academy of Authors and The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA). A longtime writing instructor, she has an MFA from Queens University of Charlotte. She lives in rural Givhans, SC, with her husband Blue.
